The 45th Annual AIHS Salmon & Rib Bake

- Enjoy a barbequed fresh-caught Alaska salmon or barbequed rib dinner, or a hot dog meal.
- Salmon/Rib dinners are $18 in advance, $20 on the day of. They include corn-on-the-cob, coleslaw, baked beans, Panera bread, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. A bottle of water is included.
- Hot Dog meals are $8. They include a hot dog, chips, a water, and strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Silent Auction

Over 100 items to bid on, including many island services. All proceeds benefit the Historical Society, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

For almost 50 years the Historical Society has put on an annual Salmon Bake. The event serves as an island-wide celebration of the Fourth of July, and is also the primary fundraiser for the Historical Society. Every year we serve about 800 salmon and rib dinners, and 100 hot-dog meals. Almost one hundred island volunteers help put on the Salmon and Rib bake, doing everything from purchasing and setup, to cooking and cleanup. If you would like to volunteer, send us an email at
