History

For 50 years the Historical Society has put on an annual Salmon Bake. The event serves as an island-wide celebration of the Fourth of July, and is also the primary fundraiser for the Historical Society. Every year we serve about 800 salmon and rib dinners, and 100 hot-dog meals. Almost one hundred island volunteers help put on the Salmon and Rib bake, doing everything from purchasing and setup, to cooking and cleanup. If you would like to volunteer, send us an email at aihsfarm@gmail.com.
